2. Acceptance of Terms

By using this website or enquiring about our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or request our services.

Our services are available only to individuals who are at least 18 years of age and who have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under Malaysian law.

Engaging the firm for a specific matter is governed by a separate written fee agreement which takes precedence over these general Terms in the event of any inconsistency.

3. Services

Teguh Chambers provides legal services in relation to pension matters in Malaysia. Our services are described on this website and are tailored to each client's circumstances. The scope of any engagement is confirmed in a written fee agreement before work begins.

Services are delivered in English and are primarily oriented toward clients based in Malaysia, with a particular focus on clients in Johor and the southern peninsula.

The information on this website is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. You should not act or refrain from acting on the basis of website content alone.

4. Your Responsibilities

When using this website or engaging our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when submitting enquiries or engaging our services
  • Not misrepresent your identity or circumstances
  • Not use the website for any unlawful purpose or in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair it
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its systems
  • Maintain the confidentiality of any correspondence or documents shared with you in the course of a matter

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, layout, and design, is the property of Teguh Chambers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may view and print content for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, or adapt website content without our prior written consent.

6. Fees and Payment

Our fees are set out on the website and confirmed in writing before any work commences. All fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

Payment terms are specified in the fee agreement for each matter. We accept payment by bank transfer and other methods agreed in advance.

Where a matter is terminated before completion, fees will be payable for work done to the date of termination, as set out in the relevant fee agreement. Fees paid in advance for fixed-scope services are non-refundable once the review process has commenced, unless the firm is unable to proceed due to circumstances within its control.

7. Service Delivery

The scope and timeline for each service are confirmed in the written fee agreement. We will endeavour to meet agreed timelines, but timelines may be affected by factors outside our control, including the availability of documents and responses from third parties.

We will keep you informed of material developments and notify you promptly if a timeline cannot be met.

Any changes to the agreed scope of work will be discussed and confirmed in writing before additional work is undertaken.

8. Disclaimers

The website and its content are provided on an "as available" basis. We make no representation that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free.

While we take care to provide accurate information, the legal landscape changes and website content may not reflect the most current developments at any given time.

Legal outcomes depend on facts, circumstances, and decisions made by third parties. We do not represent that any particular outcome will result from engaging our services.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, our liability to you in connection with any matter is limited to the amount of fees paid for that matter.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental loss, including loss of income or anticipated savings, arising from use of this website or our services.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, negligence causing personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Teguh Chambers and its staff from any claim, loss, or expense arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of this website, including reasonable legal costs incurred in defending such a claim.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate a legal engagement by giving written notice in accordance with the fee agreement. Termination does not affect fees payable for work already done.

We reserve the right to decline to act, or to cease acting, where required by our professional obligations or where circumstances make it inappropriate to continue.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from these Terms or from the use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

We are committed to resolving any complaint or concern informally in the first instance. If you have a concern about our services, please contact us at [email protected] and we will endeavour to address it promptly.

13. General
